Tennessee Seeking To Ban IVF For Unmarried Individuals

I was just notified by the Family Equality Council of proposed legislation in Tennessee that would ban IVF treatment for unmarried individuals. House Bill 2159 and Senate Bill 2136 essentially would prevent single women and gay and lesbian couples from using in vitro fertilization to start or expand their families. The Tennessee Equality Project has more information on how you can oppose this transparent attempt to deprive individuals of their constitutionally protected right to procreate by legalizing discrimination based upon marital status and sexual orientation.
