I have received an email from Holly Kahle responding to our posts of last week. Ms. Kahale denies several of the allegations and claims that the most recent check transmitted to the Surrogate was deposited and cleared. She also explained that there is an ongoing dispute between her agency and the Surrogate that is motivating the allegations against her program.

As I mentioned last week, there is often more than one side to most stories. Ms. Kahle did not respond to some of the other allegations, which, for now, remain unchallenged. Again, prudence dictates that you take these allegations seriously without jumping to any conclusions as of yet. Insisting upon an accounting of your funds (including a copy of the most recent bank statement) remains my recommendation.
