I had the good fortune to attend the Family Equality Council Awards Dinner over the weekend. Among the deserving honorees was Todd Parr, an author of a well-known line of children’s books.
For anyone with young children, Mr. Parr’s books should be an essential element of your child’s library. His books emphasize the diversity that exists today in the modern family and inspires children to be kind and to celebrate the differences among families. No matter what the makeup of your family, whether it be as a single parent, an LGBT family or as a married heterosexual couple, these books are a wonderful way to educate your child while promoting self-acceptance and diversity.
