ON AUGUST 7, 2017, Rudy Rupak (a.k.a. Acharyya Rupak), was sentenced to 24 months in prison and a $10,000.00 fine for defrauding international prospective intended parents out of at least $247,620.00. Rudy also faces an additional restitution hearing on September 13, 2017, where a judge will determine the amount Mr. Rupak will owe to his victims. Mr. Rupak’s web of lies has finally self-destructed, leaving heartbreak and a mild taste of satisfaction for the victims he has defrauded.  Now all we can do is anxiously await Mr. Rupak’s restitution hearing.
