Andrew Vorzimer:
Thanks for visiting our blog. For those curious about me, I am a Reproductive Law Attorney, the father of five wonderful children and married to the love of my life. I also am the Managing Partner of Vorzimer Masserman, P.C. Among my interests: photography, soccer, scuba diving, the Miami Dolphins, The U and the Los Angeles Lakers. You can find more about my professional experience here.
But I am not the only blogger here. I am happy to have three other exceptionally gifted and outspoken co-bloggers, Michelle Leverton, Andrew Powell and Joshua Kors. Here is a bit more about them in their own words and pictures:
Michelle Leverton:
I am a recent law school graduate and a devoted wife, daughter, sister, and aunt. In the Spring of 2016, I was honored to be selected as an intern for Vorzimer Masserman, P.C., and the VM family welcomed me back after I sat for the bar exam. I have always been passionate about families and children, and the legal field provided me with many facets to explore. Prior to joining VM, I studied adoption law in China, interned at the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute in Washington, D.C., and was inspired by my professors to learn more about fertility law. Since that time, I have grown to love the field of fertility law, and cannot imagine working in any other concentration. My professional interests coincide with my personal interests, as I love spending time with my very large family! I also enjoy traveling, horseback riding, and spending time on the beach!
Andrew Powell:
Cheers! I am a barrister from London specialising in all areas of family law at 4 Paper Buildings. I was called to the English Bar in 2008. I was honored to receive the Pegasus Scholarship in 2013, a scholarship fund for young lawyers to learn and experience law in a different jurisdiction. So for the next several months, I will be an intern at Vorzimer Masserman, P.C.
In 2013, I was shortlisted for the Young Family Barrister of the year award. Before becoming a barrister, I studied social anthropology as an undergraduate where I earned the highest first class degree in my year.
My professional passion and interests lie in surrogacy and reproductive law.
Joshua Kors:
Family planning is a passion of mine. Before coming to Vorzimer Masserman, I worked for years at Adopt-Now.com, a Bay Area-based adoption facilitation service founded by my mother, Dr. Nancy Hurwitz Kors. I have also had an exciting career as an investigative reporter, exploring the health issues facing our soldiers. When I’m not typing or asking probing questions, I’m swing dancing or running or finishing up my degree at Vanderbilt Law School.
